10 Malawians banged in Mozambique for invalid traveling documents

Police in Mwanza are keeping in custody 10 Malawians who were sent back from Mozambique for traveling without proper and valid traveling documents.

The Malawians boarded a Graca bus and upon arrival at a checking point in tete_Mozambique, after being searched they were found with invalid travelling documents and some with expired papers. They were sent back to Malawi.

The 10 Malawians include six females and four males and they have been identified as, Melia Bauleni 26 hails from Namalaka Village T/A Chikowi in Zomba, Anastanzia Gondwe 21 from Soche T/A Kapeni in Blantyre, Abdul Chidothi hailing from Mitomoni village T/A nyambi in machinga, Christina Zagwa aged 26 from Naungu village T/A stila in Machinga, Ackim smart 32 from Mbawa village T/A Kapoloma in Balaka, Brenda Banda 28 of Chipeta village T/A Makuwira in Chikwawa, Jolam Kamtedza 16 from Mpalume village in Zomba, Patricia Elatoni aged 21 of Jerisa village T/A Mchilamwera in Thyolo, Michael Mpapala aged 20 of itikani village T/A chisuwi in Machinga and Lonely Kali aged 20 of changata village in Thyolo.

Meanwhile, Police has advised Malawians not to rush for greener pastures in foreign countries without having proper and valid traveling documents. At the moment, the Malawians are still in police custody
