Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that health workers at Nkhata-Bay District Hospital are on sit-in over unpaid allowances.

The disgruntled health are demanding that the management pays them their allowances from last year amounting to k20million.

The health workers have since closed down the main entrance to the hospital with tree branches and big stones.

A visit to the facility saw the health workers shunting anti-management songs.

Ministry of Health is yet to comment on the matter.
