Lilongwe Police are currently investigating a break-in at the Agricultural Development Division (ADD) offices in the city. According to reports, robbers broke into the clerk’s office and stole a computer set worth 1.2 million kwacha in the early hours of April 4.
Hastings Chigalu, Lilongwe Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that the suspects gained entry by cutting the roof off the adjacent room to the clerk’s before breaking through the ceiling of the office.
The robbery was discovered on Monday morning when staff reported for work and found the office in disarray.
Chigalu revealed that the police have launched a manhunt for the robbers and have asked members of the public to provide any information that can lead to their arrest.
