Man arrested for slashing maize belonging to visually impaired man in Thyolo

A 25-year-old man, Mayeso Samson has been arrested in Thyolo for allegedly slashing a maize field, assaulting and demolishing a house for a visually impaired man.

Thyolo Police deputy spokesperson, Rabecca Kashoti has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

According to Kashoti, Samson claimed that the land Jackson Mphuka, 76, planted the maize belongs to him.

Both the suspect and complainant come from Mkwata village, Traditional Authority (TA) Mphuka in the district.
