The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has encouraged prospective students in the country to use online method when applying place in various public universities.

Public Relations Officer for NCHE, Priscilla Zikapanda Namisinkha has said that online application if friendly and it protect students from fraudsters who were cashing on the manual process.

She was speaking today at Kasungu Teacher’s Training College when officials from NCHE and six public universities sensitized prospective students on how to apply for space in public universities via online

Namisinkha also said that among other fraudulent acts, unscrupulous people were taking advantage of innocent prospective students to sell forms which were supposed to be accessed free of charge.

A prospective student, Ted Chiphiko has commended the system as most youths are addicted to internet due to technology.
