St. Andrews International Primary School headteacher, Naomi Charles, has been suspended following an industrial strike staged by 27 teachers from the Blantyre-based institution.
The teachers had been demanding her resignation, citing incompetence and lack of financial accountability.
The school’s board chairperson, Dr. Luis Gadama, has confirmed that Charles is pending further investigation.
It is unclear how long the investigation will take, and the board has not provided further details on the matter.
