Ministry of land given 30 days ultimatum to clarify land matters owned by foreigners

The Ministry of Land has been given 30 days ultimatum by the Parliamentary Cluster on Agriculture and Natural Resources to clarify on two hundred Hectors of land been allocated to foreigners.

According to the cluster the ministry is being involved in illegal land provision to foreigners.

Co-Chairperson for Natural Resources Wellan Chilenga said that Zalanyama has been taken by foreigners in the name Jacaranda Company which has encroached the place and running farming activities after being given fake documents

The company was given a stop order to leave the place in 2019 but instead of leaving the place, the company has also added 15 hectors.

Chilenga said they want the ministry to give their clarification on the matter within 30 days.
