Neno girls secondary school students are protesting against the suspension of one of their two colleagues who picked a quarrel a few day ago.
So far, the students have damaged some school property, and an earlier attempt for discussions with police and management to map the way forward have proved futile.
The angry school girls are on the street chanting “Achoke! Achoke!” demanding the removal of their head teacher, Easter Kambiri, for failing to handle the case properly.
School management is yet to comment on the matter.
Meanwhile tension is high at the school.
