Blantyre water board has disclosed that Malawians will continue experiencing low water supply following the heavy rain which damaged and washed away water pipes at Makangala Bridge in Machinjiri on 12 February 2023.
In a statement made available to face malawi, BWB says the flush floods has destroyed most infrastructures including BWB water pipes and causing some black outs which has resulted in no water pumping for 18 hours making low water levels in their Tanks.
”The board is expecting to normalize the situation a day after resumption of full-load pumping when the power has been restored in pumping stations”, lead the statement.
Meanwhile the Blantyre Water Board is comforting its customers that they should not worry as the board is doing everything possible to ensure that the water situation is normalized at the earliest possible time.
