Ministry of Health Calls for Help to WHO as Cholera Vaccine Supply Runs Out Amid Outbreak

The Ministry of Health has announced that it has exhausted its supply of cholera vaccines during a time when the disease is at its peak.

Spokesperson Adrian Chikumbe stated that the Ministry is now seeking assistance from the World Health Organization (WHO) to secure more vaccines.

However, Chikumbe noted that due to there being only one manufacturer of the vaccine globally and high demand, there is no guarantee that additional vaccines will be received soon.

The Ministry has urged citizens to strictly follow preventive measures to reduce the spread of the disease.
