Idana Leaves Bullets

Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club (FC) have announced the departure of their midfielder and third captain, Chimwemwe Idana after failing to agree on contract extension terms.

In a statement that faceofmalawi sports desk has seen, the 24 year old’s deal was expected to end on 21 February 2023.

According to reports, Idana who was promoted to the Senior team from The Reserves towards the end of 2017 season, turned down a new contract offer as he demanded more than what Bullets could offer.

Among other things, Idana demanded K8 million as sign-on-fees and K700 000 salary (not yet confirmed by both parties) if Bullets were interested to keep him.

Further reports are indicating that he is on the verge of securing a deal with an a Tanzanian club in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Bullets has thanked him for his contributions to the club.
