A boy in Chiradzulu has drowned yesterday in Ndichi River where he went with his two friends for swimming.

The district’s police spokesperson, Cosmas Kagulo identified the deceased as Gift Kasuntha aged 8.

Police said members of the community were informed by Kasuntha’s friends who went swimming with him, upon reaching the river, they found the body of the deceased lying dead.

The deceased came from Ntauchila Village, Traditional Authority (TA) Likoswe in the district.

Police have advised parents and guardians to protect their children and stop them from swimming and crossing water bodies especially this rainy season.
