Malawian cholera patient refuse to go to the hospital due to religious beliefs (video)

A cholera patient in Area 36, Lilongwe was filmed wrestling with health and security officials in an attempt to shun to go to the hospital due to religious beliefs.

They yet to be identified man was seen in the trending video trying so hard to find his way out in the hands of the people who were risking their own lives by attending to him.

When he was taken into a Toyota land cruiser vehicle, the man tried jumping out of the car. According to him going to the hospital against the rules of his church.

Meanwhile over 7oo people have died from the disease with over 20, 000 confirmed cases registered.

Cholera is a highly contagious and potentially life-threatening disease that is spread through contaminated water and food. It is characterized by severe diarrhea, dehydration, and electrolyte imbalances, and can lead to death if left untreated.

Health officials are urging the general public to reconsider their decision and seek medical attention as soon as possible in order to receive the necessary treatment and prevent the further spread of the disease.
