The remains of a 14 year old Mary Mount Student Ruth Tembo has been put to rest today at Madisi in Dowa district.

Ruth died on Monday afternoon after a bus she and 50 other students were travelling in on their way to school involved in an accident at Luviri in Mzimba.

The accident left many battling for their lives at Mzimba District Hospital with one had her hand amputated.

Today, Kamuzu Central Hospital confirmed that another student who was at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has also died taking the number of those who have died from the horrific accident to two.

National police spokesperson Peter Kalaya, has confirmed to the press that they will charge and prosecute the bus driver for driving reckless and overspeeding.
