An African woman suspected to be a tourist has been found dead in Mulanje Mountain.

Mulanje Police Spokesperson Sergeant Innocent Moses said the body was found on Tuesday by men who were hunting crabs along Ruo river on the mountain.

Moses said, Police found the body in a decomposed state and post-mortem conducted by a clinician at Mulanje District Hospital the woman died of suffocation.

Investigations are underway to establish the real particulars of the deceased.
