Police in Ntchisi have arrested a 27-year- old John Nsalu for allegedly defiling a 5 year old girl.

According to Glory Gondwe, Deputy Spokesperson for Ntchisi Police, the victim and friends went to the shop of the suspect to buy sweets where Nsalu convinced the minor to enter in his shop saying he will give her more sweets.

Upon entering the shop, Nsalu chased other girls and took advantage and defiled the minor three times and threatened to kill her if she tells anyone.

Gondwe continued that, when the girl reached home, she reported the matter to her parents who then reported to police that led to the arrest of the suspect.

Nsalu hails from M’baduka Village in Traditional Authority  (T/A)  Kalumo, in Ntchisi district.
