Information reaching faceofmalawi indicates that former Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Commissioner Linda Kunje has successfully undergone a surgical operation at Zomba Central Hospital.

The development comes barely a day after President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera pardon Kunje who was serving an 18 months jail sentence for blocking President Convoy in Zomba.

Kunje’s husband identified as Edwards Pelewelo, going by the Facebook handle, Pelewelo Dambe Eddie has confirmed of the development.

“A day after she received a presidential pardon, a surgical procedure was successfully performed on my Wife , Linda Kunje at Zomba Central Hospital. She is now in the hospital recuperating,” he wrote.

Pelewelo added that Kunje was grateful to president Chakwera for the pardon.
