ARMYWORM OUTBREAK HITS NENO DISTRICT

Two villages in Neno District have been affected by African Armyworm outbreak and has affected 33 hectors of maize fields.

The villages have been identified as Kanono and Tchenga Villages.

Confirming the development, Neno district Principal Agriculture Officer, Mayamiko Diana Zambezi, said the affected fields belong to 134.

Zambezi said sensitization has been intensified to enable farmers to report early detection of the pests, while highlighting the need for seeds for replanting and chemicals for controlling the pests.
