Two women arrested in Mulanje for receiving K1.3 million from suspected employees

Police in Mulanje are keeping in custody two women who were soliciting money from unsuspecting job seekers to offer them employment at Mulanje district.

The two women have been identified as Grace Wonga aged 41, a human resources clerk at the Council and Achaba Kamoto aged 26 who is an agent to the human resource clerk.

The two suspects collected K1.3 million kwacha from the unemployed people.

Mulanje Police Officer-In-Charge Deputy Commissioner, Owen Maganga said they have recovered two hundred and ten thousand kwacha from the solicited money.
