Human rights activists have gathered at senior Resident Magistrate Court in Lilongwe in solidarity with leader of Citizens Against Impunity and Corruption Joshua Chisa Mbele and other human rights activists who were arrested on Friday.
The court is this afternoon expected to hear the bail application by the human rights activist.
Meanwhile, the police are still at police and it is not known when they will appear in court.
Activist Bon Kalindo is one of the people seen at the court to cheer up Chisa Mbele and others.
Chisa Mbele was arrested on Friday in relation to the violence that erupted during anti-government protests he orchestrated.
