Chisa Mbele says protesters will camp outside State House as police patronize with heavy escort

Lead organizer of the anti-government demonstrations Joshua Chisa Mbele has said they will camp outside presidential residence as they wait for President Lazarus Chakwera to get back and receive their petition.

President Chakwera is currently in Mzuzu where he is expected to perform a number of government engagements in the northern region.

However, Chisa Mbele, said they will camp outside Kamuzu Palace till the president comes back and is served with concerns.

As the demonstrations have started, officers from Malawi Police service have also gathered in high numbers to ensure that the protests are peaceful.
