A trickster who posted a Passo for sale on facebook has duped a woman in Mangochi money amounting to Mk300,000.

It is said that the suspect advertised the said vehicle on Facebook at a price of MK1.3 million and the woman got interested.

The woman contacted the trickster and in the course of discussion the suspect asked the pontential buy to send partial payment of the car to an Airtel Agent.

The alleged thief used Police IDs and a driving licence in convincing the woman to deposit the cash. The said IDs belonged to Grace Elliot.

After receiving the money, the suspected trickster vanished and switched off his phone.

The woman has since reported the matter to police.
