SVM COMMITTED TO CONTINUE FIGHTING SKIN CANCER

Standing Voice Malawi (SVM) continues to fight against skin cancer that affects persons with albinism in Malawi.

Organization’s Country Director who is also Commissioner for Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) Boniface Massa, said his organization is working hand in hand with Association for Persons with Albinism (APAM) and the government through the Ministry of Health in raising awareness on skin cancer and its prevention.

“As schools are opening next week on Monday, the parent-teachers association must safeguard the right to education for learners with albinism,” said Massa

Massa encouraged stakeholders and school managements to make sure that all learners living with albinism to wear protective clothes to prevent skin cancer.

He said prevention of skin cancer among persons with albinism remains critical in the country.
