Leader of opposition Kondwani Nakhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South has asked President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to pardon former Malawi Electoral Commission Commissioner Linda Kunje.
Nankhumwa said this in a letter addressed to President Chakwera dated September 27, 2022 seen by this publication.
In the letter Nankhumwa has asked president Chakwera that as a man of God who understands humanity at a level beyond the ordinary he must “let her go”.
Your Excellency, apart from being a mother, Commissioner Linda Kunje may still have a something to positive to contribute to the welfare of the nation in one way or another and that she has learnt a lesson from her misconduct,” said Nankhumwa.
Nankhumwa has also pleaded with President Chakwera to pardon Mussa John who is currently serving a 3 year jail sentence at Chichiri Prison.
Mussa john was found with Chamba.
