A man in Chilomon identified as Vincent Chigona is on the run after allegedly murdering his wife on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Blantyre police spokesperson, Peter Mchiza said the suspect and the victim, Priscilla Mukholi aged 21 got separated on reasons best known to themselves.

But reports indicate they were visiting each other from their respective parents’ homes.

According to Mchiza, the couple met at Chilomoni last Sunday and that people heard them quarreling during the night.

“On September 19, in the morning, Priscilla was found hanging dead to a tree about hundred meters away from the husband’s home,” said Mchiza.

The law enforcers have launched an investigation on the matter.
