Ministry Of Education Accuses Nation Newspaper Of Publishing Fake News

Government through the ministry of Education has distanced itself from a news story carried by Nation Publications Limited that it intends to recruit 6,900 teachers.

In today’s newspaper, The Nation reported that the government plans to recruit primary school teachers from the Initial Primary Teachers Education (IPTE) 13, 14 and 15. According to the Newspaper, this was announced by the ministry’s Principle Secretary Chikondano Mussa.

The report continued that, the ministry will conduct walk in interviews in phases oral and written in all the country’s regions for the prospective recruits.

However, the ministry has dismissed the report through its official Facebook page saying it is untrue and fake.

“The Nation Publications Limited Newspaper of today, Friday, 9th September, 2022 has carried out this story about recruitment of teachers by Government. The Ministry already discarded this as not true and FAKE through all our digital platforms and other fora a few days ago,” read part of the statement from the ministry.

The ministry has therefore urged the general public to disregard the content published by The Nation Newspaper adding that any information regarding the recruitment of teachers will officially communicated by the ministry.
