Reggae group Black Missionaries Band will lead a fundraising event that has been organized by Mulhako Wa Alhomwe slated for Saturday at the group’s headquarters at Chonde, Mulanje.

The show will also be graced by popular artist Joe Gwaladi and Gibo Pearson, Anthony Makondetsa and Yanjanani Chumbu.

Chairperson for Mulhako Wa Alhomwe Leston Mulli said the event on Saturday is part of their preparations for the annual event which is scheduled to take place on October 9.

“We have intensified our efforts to raise funds for the event so that we deliver a successful event. We are expecting to receive a lot of visitors during the event and these visitors will need to eat and drink well,” he said.

The chairperson said the show on Saturday will be spiced up by other activities such as giving out assorted prizes to outstanding dancers and distribution of different herbals.

Black Missionaries front man Anjiru Fumulani said the followers in Mulanje should expect a good music treat come Friday.

Fumulani said: “It is a platform that we have been to already. It has almost become like home. We are bringing a full team and our fans should expect fireworks come Saturday.
