All the attention this coming Sunday will be in the commercial capital Blantyre where two major political parties will be holding mega rallies in Nyambadwe Township and Bangwe Township.

The opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) which is led by former President Peter Mutharika will be at Desert Ground in Bangwe.

The rally will be graced by former Minister of Agriculture Dr. George Chaponda and DPP’s regional governor for the South Charles Mchacha.

On the other hand, the United Transformation Movement (UTM) of State Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima will be at Nyambadwe Community Ground.
According to the poster seen by this publication, the main speaker at the rally will be UTM Secretary General Patricia Kaliati who is also Minister of Gender.

This will be the first rally for UTM since the fresh Presidential polls which saw President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera being declared President.
