Globe Internet seek court relief in MACRA’s order

The High court in Blantyre has ordered the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) to give Globe Internet Limited 60 days before stopping it from using frequencies in the 700MHz band.

Lawyer for the internet service provider, Davis Njobvu of DNC Chambers, said the ruling is a relief to his client as he will have ample time to make alternative arrangement to serve its customers.

Njobvu said, initially, MACRA stopped the company from using the band effective Wednesday, August 17, 2022 but his client sought more time to migrate its customers.
