Kamlepo threatens to deal with Chakwera’s govt

Independent Member of Parliament for Rumphi East Kamlepo Kalua has said he is ready to go back to the streets and die for this country if the trend of impunity and intimidation under President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera continues in the country.

Kalua said this after opposition MPs boycotted Parliamentary deliberations over the the abduction of right activist Sylvester Namiwa who was found dumped in Nanthenje, Lilongwe.

“Am ready to go back to the streets to die and liberate this country once again from the jaws of autocracy as I did it before in 1993. And this time it will be bad for MCP. This is just a gentle warning to MCP,” said Kalua.

Kalua’s reaction followed reaction of Minister of Homeland Security Jean Sendeza.

Sendeza accused the opposition DPP of being hand Namiwa’s abduction.
