The Ministry of Health (MoH) has distanced itself from a circular purportedly from government ordering all public hospitals to start providing one meal to in-patients due to the economic meltdown.

The circular also claimed that government has suspended delivery of dead bodies using ambulances to cut operational costs.

But in a statement Secretary to Health Dr. Charles Mwansambo has described the circular as fake, urging Malawians to ignore it.

Mwansambo has therefore appealed to all stakeholders to desist from making reference to the said document.
