Namalomba congratulates newly elected PAC Chair Mark Bottomani

Member of Parliament for Mangochi South West Shadric Namalomba has congratulated Zomba Chisi MP Mark Botoman for his appointment as Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairperson.

Botoman has taken over from Namalomba as PAC Chairperson after being voted as Chair on Monday.

In a Statement, Namalomba has thanked former President Peter Mutharika and members of Parliament for bestowing him the opportunity to serve in one of the most powerful committees in parliament.

“I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, the Former President of the Republic of Malawi and the President of the Mighty Democratic Progressive Party(DPP) and my fellow Members of Parliament for bestowing me the opportunity to serve my country in one of the most powerful committees in Parliament, The Public Accounts Committee of Parliament(PAC) for two years until today due to the reshuffle of parliamentary committees by the Current Leadership of Opposition in Parliament.

“Today, I would like to congratulate Honourable Mark Botoman for being elected as the Chairperson of Public Accounts Committee of ( PAC). To all controlling officers in all government institutions, Office of the Speaker of the National Assembly and Parliament Secretariat, My fellow Honorable members of Parliament, Members of the Public Accounts Committee, Members of the Press, Mangochi South West constituents and All Malawians, I thank you for your support. In everything I thank God. You are guaranteed of my unwavering commitment in serving my country,” said Namalomba in the statement.

Shadow Minister of Information Bottomani went unopposed during an election held yesterday at parliament.
