A man has been arrested following a crime which he committed against a mentally ill woman in a bush. The 34-year-old suspect is reportedly married and he is from Zambia.

Reports say that the suspect identified as Gabriel Chalwe had raped a 20-year-old woman in a bush. The incident occurred after the victim’s mother noticed that her daughter had gone missing hours before she got raped.

According to reports, the victim is said to be 5-months pregnant as the suspect is expected to appear in court for his criminal act. The suspect was reportedly caught in a bush with the victim, she was discovered after being missing for hours.

Reports further say that the suspect admitted to impregnating the victim as he started sleeping with her in January of this year. Mr Gabriel Chalwe is married with children.
