A Zambian banker by the name Jeremiah Mweene appeared in court on allegations adultery with a married woman in sugar cane field.

This is in a matter were Nalishebo Muimui of CDC was claiming K60, 000 compensation from Mweene, 42, of Livingstone for sleeping with his wife, Beauty Mushabata.

When the matter came up before Mazabuka Local Court Senior Presiding Magistrate, Regent Zandu, Mushabati confessed to have slept with Mweene on two separate incidences at a named lodge and in the defendant’s Toyota Hilux Vehicle which was packed in a sugarcane field.

The plaintiff’s wife added that Mweene gave her K500 after the Sugarcane field sexual encounter.

But Mweene, who was accompanied by his wife denied sleeping with Mushabati but admitted giving her K500 because she asked for it.

Earlier, Muimui, who has been married to Mushabati since 1998, told the court that he tapped his wife’s line and discovered she was constantly talking to the defendant.

In delivering judgment, Magistrate Zandu ordered Mweene to pay Muimui K10, 000 for marriage interference.
