Death has been announced of Reverend Sister Catherine Buya from the Presentation of Virgin Mary Sisters in the Catholic Diocese of Dedza.

Sister Buya died on Monday morning at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in the capital Lilongwe.

According to the statement seen by this publication, Reverend Sister Buya died of heart complications.

“The Religious Congregation of the Presentation of Virgin Mary Sisters in the Catholic Diocese of Dedza regrets to announce the passing on of Rev. Sister Catherine Buya this morning at Kamuzu Central Hospital,” reads in part the statement.

Reverend Sister Buya will be laid to rest this coming Wednesday at Mtendere Parish cemetery in Dedza Diocese.
