Like a secret pin code of an ATM card, a businessman of Lusaka has unbelievably kept his manhood hidden from his wife for 18 long years.
To make sure his property below the waist is permanently hidden from his wife, 41-year old Reason Banda does not even allow his spouse to prune his forest.
This came to light on Friday in the Lusaka Boma Local Court where 39-year old Martha Mwanza had petitioned that her marriage with Banda with whom she has five children be dissolved on account of his spooky behavior.
Martha told the court that for close to two decades, her husband has been conducting bedroom transactions – inserting and withdrawing – whilst keeping his machine more secret than the IMF bailout conditions for Zambia.
She said besides keeping his breeding lollipop from her sight, Banda has also exhibited strange and frightening behavior.
She told court that one time in their marriage, both her and her husband were forced to go with forest 27 thickets below their waists after he suggested that they stop shaving for six months.
“We stayed for six months without shaving our pubic hair and one day he just sent me to village to look for a nest of a bird. I went and stayed in the village for a week and I returned home without the nest but a lot of discomfort,” Martha narrated.
She said on her arrival from the village, her husband had countless tattoos on his body like she had never seen before and when she enquired about them, her husband simply asked her if she did not want to get rich.
Martha further told the court that adding to the spooky activities, her husband invited to their house an old woman who after performing some strange rituals went away with a chunk of the matrimonial mattress.
“My husband is really strange. At first I tolerated this because I loved my husband and I didn’t understand why he was doing all this. But now it is getting out of hand and I am scared,” Martha told the court.
She told the court that despite all the strange happenings in her marriage, the chief reason she wanted to end the marriage with Banda was that he had neglected to empower her with capital to start a business despite having the capacity to do so.
But for all the accusations, Banda had no response except to plead that his beloved wife return home promising to spend on her like James Ndambo had spent on Choma town in Southern Province – an offer she declined saying her husband had promised that before without fulfilling.
Judging on the matter, Magistrate Sylvia Kabunda dissolved the marriage and ordered Banda to compensate his ex-wife with K20,000 which would be paid in monthly installments of K1,000 for the first two months after which he would pay K500 every month.
The court also also ordered Banda to be paying child support of K500 to the two children who would remain in Martha custody.
Magistrate Kabunda pointed out that the court does not take pleasure in ending marriages and it was therefore unfortunate to end Banda’s marriage
Judge Kabunda noted that Banda’s behavior of refusing to empower his wife while denying her wifely duties of shaving him caused the court to dissolve the marriage.
