United Transformation Movement (UTM) supporters are calling on their leader who is also the country’s vice president Saulos Chilima to address them on recent agreement he has made with the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) leader who is also the country’s president Lazarus Chakwera.
According to a joint press statement from MCP and UTM signed by Maurice Munthali and Frank Mwenifumbo, the parties’ spokespersons revealed the two leaders met and agreed to put their differences aside.
According to the statement, the alliance partners have resolved to put their differences aside and work together to strengthen their working relationship as partners.
However, UTM supporters have expressed their concern on the matter and have asked the party’s leader to come in the open and reveal what they have agreed.
The supporters added that it will not be fair for Chilima to reveal what they have now agreed after things turn sour like he did the last time.
