MultiChoice Malawi has introduced another channel OneZed on GoTV platform offering talk shows, drama, music and documentaries.
It will be available on channel 8 to subscribers of GOTV packages of Lite, Value, Plus, Max and Supa.
Makunje: Malawi is a smaller market
According to MultiChoice Malawi corporate affairs manager Zena Makunje the pan-African entertainment channel caters for the Zambian as well as the Malawi market.
She said yesterday during a media engagement: “Our customers should expect Afro Novelas, drama and comedies on shows like Mpali, Zuba and Tuvwange. This is answering our promise of content convenience and keeping our customers at heart in everything we do.
“As MultiChoice Malawi, we embrace to share our content with our Zambian counterparts as culturally we are similar and it only begs the question on how best we can integrate that content in an established market like Zambia to cater for Malawian audience.”
Makunje added that they are working on a project that will expand Malawian television and film content.
She said: “Malawi is a smaller market and we have a lot of work to do in terms of positioning ourselves as power behind TV and film industry creation.
“We are investing through MultiChoice expansion programme under talent factory where we are bringing in industries experts to impart knowledge to established TV and film creators to up skill them to produce content that is globally marketable and to understand the business production and commissioning content.”
