Lizulu Road Accident Claims Four Lives

Dedza District Health Office Spokesperson, Mwayi Liabunya has confirmed the death of four who were admitted to Dedza District Hospital following Saturday’s road accident at Lizulu Bomba Filling Station near Lizulu trade centre in Ntcheu along the M1 road.

Liabunya said that the fourth person who was seriously injured, was among eleven injured that were referred to Dedza District Hospital. The deceased died while being taken to Kamuzu Central Hospital for further treatment.

According to Ntcheu Police Station Spokesperson, Rabecca Ndiwate, three other people were pronounced dead at Lizulu Health Centre due to severe head injuries.

On occurrence of the accident Ndiwate said a Toyota Hiace minibus, which was coming from the direction of Dedza heading to Ntcheu with 16 passengers, overturned after its rear tyre burst.
