Social Commentator Mwakasungula on Chilima’s neck for releasing Tonse Alliance agreement

Social commentator Undule Mwakasungula has questioned Vice President Saulos Chilima’s timing for the release of the Tonse Alliance agreement.

Chilima on Friday addressed Malawians where he revealed the content biding the Tonse Alliance which is being headed by President Chakwera.

Among others, Chilima revealed that they agreed to rotate the presidency starting with President Lazarus Chakwera in 2020, thereafter himself in 2025.

He also questioned the immunity of the President when it comes to corruption.

But Speaking in an interview with the press Mwakasungula questioned the sincerity of Chilima on the matter.

Commenting on immunity, Mwakasungula claimed that the topic of the President’s immunity is complicated since Chilima may be regarded as bringing it up because he is involved in the Sattar corruption investigation.

He saw Chilima’s speech as a squandered chance to inform Malawians about his suspected role in Sattar corruption.

Mwakasungula has also faulted Chilima for spending too much time focusing on the 2025 political interests at the expense of critical issues such as corruption and economy.
