Social Media Activist Joshua Chisa Mbele On Chakwera’s Neck For Describing ACB Report As ‘Substandard’

Social commentator and fierce critic of President Lazarus Chakwera Joshua Chisa Mbele has faulted the Malawi leader for considering that the report that The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) submitted to him is an example of a substandard work.

Last evening, president Chakwera addressed the nation following the elapse of a 21 day ultimatum he gave the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Martha Chizuma to serve him a report on investigations the bureau is conducting regarding Sattar.

Despite takin action on four individuals whose names were mentioned in the report for allegedly conducting corrupt dealings with the United Kingdom based Malawi businessman Zuneth Sattar, Chakwera faulted the ACB director General of doing a shoddy work.

According to Chakwera, the report failed to explain how vice president Saulos Chilima, Chief of Staff for state residence Chris Kapondamgaga and board chair of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets (PPDA) John Suzi Banda involved themselves with Sattar’s corrupt activities.

Chisa Mbele said that the president could not have acted on the said substandard report but rather asked for a standard one.

“The President could not make final decisions on others because you (Chizuma) submitted unfinished, substandard work and or you (Chizuma) withheld some information thereby making your (her) reporting biased,” said Chisa Mbele.
