One of aspiring Presidential candidates Dalitso Kabambe who is also former Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor on Monday visited ex-convict Reverend Christopher Mzomera Ngwira.

The visits come barely hours after a DPP mass rally at Katoto Ground where several top officials including former Minister of Finance Goodall Gondwe, former Minister of Agriculture George Chaponda and MP Victor Musowa attended.

Ngwira, former Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) governor for the north was slapped with 5 years jail sentence for embezzling CDF funds.

He was released by the court two weeks ago.

On Sunday, Mzomera Ngwira made his first appearance at the rally after his release from prison.

Four DPP officials namely; Bright Msaka, Kabambe, Kondwani Nankhumwa and Joseph Mwanamvekha are vying for the Presidency in DPP.

Meanwhile, the party is currently rocked up in squabbles as other officials want Peter Mutharika to resign from the party.
