Eli Njuchi Dismisses Beating Rumors At Martse’s Funeral 

Afro Dancehall musician Eli Njuchi has dismissed reports that he was manhandled by angry people at the funeral ceremony of Martin Nkhata alias Martse at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.

Social media was awash with reports that Eli Njuchi has been beaten by people over his recent hit single Gugugu.

But writing on his verified Facebook page, Eli Njuchi said the rumors are untrue.

According to him he is well and sound but admitted that people tried to engage with but he was rescued.

“I am well, safe and sound. I wasn’t beaten as reported, it was a chaotic moment when a crowd wanted time to engage with me, I had to be taken away to allow proceedings continue” said Eli Njuchi.

Martse who died on Monday, May 23, 2022 at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, has been laid to rest today at Area 18 cemetery in Lilongwe.
