The International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission team has arrived in the country for negotiations with government on the new Extended Credit Facility (ECF) programme.
Minister of Finance Sosten Gwengwe has confirmed the mission team arrived in the country last night for the scheduled ECF negotiations.
The current government terminated the ECF in 2020 which the previous administration secured.
The Tonse Alliance administration said it wanted the new ECF to align with its new macroeconomic fundamentals and development focus.
