Veteran gospel star Deborah Fraser will be laid to rest in her home province of KwaZulu-Natal this weekend.
The star died on May 15 at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg surrounded by loved ones. She was 56.
Close friends and family members are set to gather on Saturday at the Station Venue in Durban for a funeral service starting at 09:00.
Mourners will then travel to Lala Kahle Cemetery in Hillcrest for a final gravesite ceremony before she is laid to rest.
Deborah’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service at the House of Treasures Ministries Rispark, Johannesburg South on Thursday.
Meanwhile, veteran musician Lucius Banda has expressed shock over the death Frazer.
“Rest in peace Debora Freser. My backing vocalist for son of poor man 1993. May the Lord reward you for the good works,” wrote Banda.
