Reports reaching this publication indicate that fire has gutted down a house of well known business woman, Rose Muyithwa-Bolamoyo in Balaka, damaging property worth millions in wee hours of today.

According to Bolamoyo, she is not sure what caused the fire, but, she suspects an electric fault.

She narrated that around 04:00, flames had engulfed her house, and with help from neighbors, four children who were in the house were taken to safety.

Balaka ESCOM Distribution officer Joseph Kaliwa said they will investigate the claim on the cause of fire.
