MPS denies tightening security to Mphompho who sued Chizuma over leaked audio

The Malawi Police Service (MPS) has denied offering special guard services to Frighton Mphompho and Anderson Mwakyelu who are allegedly dragged to court Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Martha Chizuma.

Last month, Mphompho asked the Mzuzu Magistrate Court to allow for investigation on Martha Chizuma over her leaked audio clip, claiming that Chizuma breached her work ethics.

But over the weekend reports were all over that MPS is providing special guard to Mphompho and Mwakyelu.

Reacting to the claims, MPS Deputy Spokesperson Harry Namwaza described the rumours as false.
