President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has expressed shock over the death of one of the country’s renowned public servants Charles Msosa, who until his death was Malawi’s ambassador to Ethiopia.
Msosa died on Monday evening at Nordic Medical Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
In a statement made available to faceofmalawi, Chakwera said the country has lost a dedicated civil servant.
“The first lady and I are filled with profound sadness by the passing of His Excellency Charles Peter Msosa, Malawi’s Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, who was also our Ambassador to the African Union.
“Until his demise in Addis Ababa, Ambassador Msosa distinguished himself as a dedicated public servant and diplomat by contributing immensely to Malawi’s cordial relationship with other nations,” reads in part the statement.
Meanwhile, funeral details are still sketchy.
