The Higher Education Students Loans and Grants Board has announced an upward adjustment of upkeep allowance from K200,000 to K300,000.

A member of the board Henry Chingaipe has announced the adjustment at a press conference in Lilongwe.

According to Chingaipe, this is due to the rise in the cost of living.
