Thieves Ransack Kenneth Kaunda’s Grave In Zambia

Thieves in Zambia descended on the presidential burial site of the country’s first republican president Kenneth Kaunda and they walked away with a man made eagle which was placed at KK’s grave.

According to Zambia’s local media house The Sunday Mail, the thieves also went away with iron sheets barricading the grave and some unused pavers.

From the onlookers found at the grave site, it is suspected that the thieves could have mistaken the eagle to be made out of gold or copper.

This happened barely few weeks after the country buried fourth republican president Rupiah Bwenzani Banda.

Police are yet to make arrests in connection with the robbery.
